Bocadillo con Queso – Columbian Guava Paste with Cheese – Kolumbianische Guavenpaste mit Käse

Posted on | October 22, 2013 | 2 Comments

Bocadillo con queso can be served as an easy dessert or as an appetizer as well. There really isn’t much too it other than cheese and guava paste but don’t let this simplicity fool you. The combination of flavours is heavenly. The sweet and salty combination is just incredible and addictive as well.

This cheese and guava paste combination is quite popular in many Latin American. Usually, most cultures use white cheese such as cream cheese, mozzarella, feta, queso fresco etc for this recipe.

If you haven’t tried guava paste yet this is a simple recipe to start with and fall in love with goiabada, or guava paste.

Bocadillo con Queso – Columbian Guava Paste with Cheese

Ingredients

  • guava paste
  • cheese – traditionally, white cheese is used for this dish such as feta, queso fresco, mozzarella, cream cheese etc.

Directions

Simply cut the guava paste into slices and do the same with the cheese. Stick them on a toothpick and serve them as an appetizer or dessert.

Guten Appetit!

Bocadillo con Queso – Kolumbianische Guavenpaste mit Käse

Zutaten

Guten Appetit!

Ooh, tasty. I’m sticking this on my weekly shopping list. There are some nights when I just don’t want to cook and I wind up assembling a plate of cheese, crackers, meats, veggies, and fruits. Currently, I’ve been sticking dates on that plate, but I bet some guava paste would go nicely too.
