Spanish Sweet-Mustard-Crusted Lamb – Spanisches Lamm mit Süβer Senfkruste

I am very fond of lamb. It has such a distinct flavour. This recipe yields sweet mustard-crusted lamb fillets which can either be served as a main dish if somewhat bigger pieces of lamb are used. Or you can use bite-sized pieces as appetizers. Either way, this is a very tasty and easy way of preparing lamb.

Spanish Sweet-Mustard-Crusted Lamb


  • lamb fillets
  • salt, pepper
  • mustard
  • brown sugar or coconut palm sugar


Preheat the grill to high. Season the lamb fillets generously with salt and pepper. Grill the lamb fillets on one side for about 2-3 minutes. Turn them over, spread mustard over the cooked side, and sprinkle sugar over the mustard. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the grill, or until the sugar melts but the meat is still slightly pink on the inside.

Spanisches Lamm mit Süβer Senfkruste


  • Lammfillets
  • Salz, Pfeffer
  • Senf
  • brauner Zucker oder Kokoszucker / Palmzucker


Den Grill vorheizen. Die Lammfillets groβzügig mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen. Das Fleisch von einer Seite für circa 2-3 Minuten bei hoher Temperatur grillen. Die Fillets umdrehen. Die gegrillte Seite mit Senf bestreichen und mit Zucker bestreuen. Für 2-3 weitere Minuten grillen oder bis der Zucker schmilzt. Das Fleisch sollte noch leicht pink im Inneren sein.

    We eat a ton of meat in my house and lamb is both my and my bf’s favorite! I’ve never tried mustard crusted lamb and it sounds incredible. I love that the ingredient list is short so this recipe can be whipped up quickly after work. WINNER!
