Strawberry-Mango Salsa

Salsa was unknown to me when I first moved to the US. And even when I tried it back then I did not particularly fall in love with it. It must have not been very good salsa back then because I absolutely love now. Last year or maybe the year before, I tried salsa with fruits and that is just heavenly. I love Cucumber and Peach Salsa and Mango-Pineapple Salsa . This one is prepared with Mango and Strawberries. I haven’t tried salsa with strawberries before but it’s delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 cups finely diced strawberries
- 2 cups finely diced mango pulp
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- handful basil leaves, finely chopped
- a few green onions, finely chopped
- 2 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- salt, chili powder to taste
Directions
Add all the diced and chopped ingredients to a bowl and mix them.
Drizzle the lemon juice over the salsa and season it to taste with salt and chili powder. Let it marinade in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for chicken or fish.
Guten Appetit!

I have always loved salsa…chips will never be complete without them. Boring fried dishes liven up with salsa. As such, I am very thankful for these amazing salsa recipes. Thanks!

What a gorgeous salsa! I wasn’t a big fan of salsa growing up, but I like it much more now – especially with fruit in it!
