Kreativ Blogger Award

Posted on | April 2, 2012 | 7 Comments

Yesterday I received my very first blog award from fellow blogger Jesica from Pencil Kitchen. I have some doubt about deserving an award and receiving this award on April 1rst made me suspicious… haha… but it’s for real, no April Fools’ joke. My first blog award! I am thrilled! Thank you, Jesica! Check out her blog Pencil Kitchen for some of the most beautiful cakes you have ever seen.

Now here is how it works. I have to reveal seven, no not one but seven interesting facts about myself and then pass the award on to seven bloggers who will then do the same (hopefully).  I am not sure anyone out there actually cares about my “interesting” facts but here we go…

Interesting Fact # 1

I am German and I lived in East Germany before the fall of the Wall…

Interesting Fact # 2

I bungee jumped. I really did… I even have the video to prove it. No, I am not going to upload it… :-P

Interesting Fact # 3

I love languages and cultures. I speak four languages, some more fluent than others… hahaha…  and I took some classes in three additional languages but I cannot actually hold a conversation in these last three languages… not that anyone actually speaks Latin anyways… :-P

Interesting Fact # 4

When I was 18, I moved to the suburbs of New York City for one year. I worked as an Au Pair taking care of 3 kids – sweetest kids ever!! Great times! I miss New York City!

Interesting Fact # 5

Several years ago, I traveled to Northern India by myself. I did an internship with a Tibetan physician.

Interesting Fact # 6

I lived in Bucharest, Romania for a few years.

Interesting Fact # 7

A few years ago, I hiked more than 114 km/ 71 miles to the top of Mount Whitney, the highest summit in the contiguous United States.
