Healthy Breakfast Shake with Cranberries and Oats

Posted on | February 25, 2012 | 12 Comments

What a great way to start the day.  Even an anti-breakfast person like me enjoys this drink in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup buttermilk (recipe for home-cultured buttermilk)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen cranberries
  • honey, if desired

Directions

Soak the oats in pineapple juice for about half an hour.

Then add all ingredients (except for the honey) to the blender and mix.

Sweeten with honey, if desired!

And Good Morning to you!

Gesunder Frühstücksshake mit Cranberries und Haferflocken

  • 1/2 Tasse gefrorene Cranberries
  • Honig, bei Bedarf

Zubereitung

Irgendwelche Ideen? Low Budget kommt direkt danach haha.

I can’t wait to try this. I have another use for homemade buttermilk. Healthy and delicious. Thank you so much.

I love shakes and make tons every week. I’ve never thought to try adding buttermilk though. Thanks!

Another shake for the morning to try ! We love drinking breakfast shakes. They can contain both nutrients and a delicious dessert type of food.
