Pineapple Banana Yogurt Drink with Oats

I just love the addition of oats in drinks.  They add a little extra texture, flavour, make you feel full longer and add some healthy nutritional value to your drink.  This drink is done in no time and makes a wonderful breakfast drink or as a snack anytime during the day.


  • 3/4 cup pineapple chunks (I used fresh pineapple but canned fruit should work just fine)
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup regular oats plus a few extra for decoration
  • honey, to taste


Add the pineapple chunks, banana slices, and the orange juice into a blender.  Mix until everything becomes smooth.

Add the yogurt and oats.  Mix again.

Taste and add honey if necessary to sweeten it.  It was sweet enough for my taste.

Pour the drink into a glass and sprinkle a few oats on top.

Joghurtgetränk mit Ananas, Banane & Haferflocken


  • 3/4 Tasse Ananasstücke (Ich habe frische Ananas verwendet, aber Ananas aus der Dose wird’s auch tun)
  • 1 Banane, Schale entfernt und in Scheiben geschnitten
  • 1/2 Tasse Orangensaft
  • 1 Tasse Joghurt
  • 1/3 Tasse Haferflocken sowie ein paar zusätzliche Haferflocken als Dekoration
  • Honig, nach Geschmack


Die Ananasstücke, Bananenscheiben und den Orangensaft in einen Standmixer/Blender geben. Alles gut mixen.

Nun den Joghurt und die Haferflocken hinzugeben und alles noch einmal mixen.

Das Getränk probieren und eventuell mit etwas Honig süssen. Für mich war es allerdings süss genug ohne die Zugabe von Honig.

Den Joghurtmix in ein Glass giessen und mit ein paar Haferflocken bestreuen.

    Yummy! I’ve gotten out of the habit of having a smoothie for breakfast with oats added in. I need to start doing that again! The pineapple in this sounds delicious!

    Healthy breakfast is really the way to keep your days going great…That is what my mom always says (perhaps what grandma told her too)
