Watermelon Sorbet

Watermelon sorbet is a very refreshing treat.  It is perfect for one of those hot days.  And it is very easy to make with only few ingredients.

  • 4 cups watermelon, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • about 1 tbsp lemon juice

In a blender, puree the watermelon.  Add the sugar and lemon juice and mix well.  Pass the watermelon mix through a sieve.

Freeze in your ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instruction.

Eat immediately or store in an air tight container in the freezer.

Guten Appetit!

This looks like summer perfection. So, if one doesn’t have an ice cream maker (like yours truly), I’m guessing this also would make a fabulous granita?
